The building frame for the float is cut out and assembled. We used MDF which was not our first choice. Supplies of plywood are very limited where we live so you take what you can get.

All the panels were attached to the building frame in a morning. Ready for the bog in the chines tomorrow.

All the chines have been bogged and sanded. The stem was aligned using metal and clamps before glueing. The rain has prevented us laminating the last piece of double bias cloth before lifting the float off the temporary frame.

An extra layer of glass mat was added to cover the chines. This will make it easier to finish and add strength.

The float was lifted off the building frame and the other float constructed the same way.
